About Red Squirrel and Dune

We are a small independent hand dyed yarn company, and we love to use our hand dyed yarn as much as we love to make it.

We have been lucky enough to travel all over, and have taken inspiration from the world we live in. Incredibly we are blessed to live in a beautiful part of the United Kindgom, and love to call these Isles our home.

We take a lot of inspiration from our local area - our village, the people and the stunning local coastline on our doorstep.

We are based in Formby, about 30 minutes North of Liverpool in the North West, and have a fantastic white sand beach, pine woods, red squirrels and dunes at our toes.

We hand dye all of our yarns on a base of your choosing. As such, we ask that you make allowances for slight but inevitable variations in colour. Although this is most likely due to the variations in colours on different screens and devices, it is also the very nature of a hand dyed product. We recommend that you alternate skeins. 

We assure you that every care has been taken to ensure your yarns reach you in the best possible condition. We're only human and mistakes can happen. Should this be the case, please allow us to rectify any issues by contacting us as soon as possible.
